For the opening of the third season of The Good Life, the show that I am presenting on Physique TV, we thought we'd do something special. It is a reason to celebrate after all. We've had so many positive feedbacks and the amount of viewers has increased with every season. We chose to shoot the season premiere at the exclusive Beach Polo Cup in Dubai. This 2 day tournament features the best local players of the United Arab Emirates and from around the world on one of the most iconic beaches in Dubai. Founded in 2004 the Beach Polo Cup has since grown tremendously, making its way to more than 30 cities all over the world, including Miami (USA), Ibiza (Spain), Cabo San Lucas (Mexico), Riviera (Mexico), Rimini (Italy), Poole (England), as well as soon to be, Tianjin (China). The atmosphere was exhilarating, the guests were glamourous and beautiful and while waiters served never ending trays of delicious food and bubblies to our table I had to struggle to remember why I was there. To work! After having finished my interview with the founder of the Beach Polo Cup, Sam Katiela, I heard a rumour going around that Lionel Richie was on his way. Strange! How did we not know about this? It didnt matter because off I was in "get that interview" mode that I am so accustomed to from the red carpets at the Zurich Film Festival. To be honest I didn't expect it to happen since he was attending the Polo for pleasure and not to work. You can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was when he agreed to do an interview. He was very relaxed, warm and welcoming and almost seemed excited to chit chat. I wanted to keep the questions light and casual, fitting to the environment we were in. I did sneak in a "Physique TV" sort of question by asking him how he keeps fit and healthy. He was very talkative and cheerful and we laughed a lot. I must admit I was a little starstruck afterwards. He is definitely proof that the biggest stars are usually the most down to earth! Check out the interview on The Good Life!
